Learning By the end of the lesson the learners should be able to:
Outcome/ content 1. Know the definition of a structure.

3. Learners should know the 3 types of structures (solid,
frame and shell).
Scenario The different types of structures we come across our daily
lives.

Teaching I will use the answer and question method when I ask the
strategy learners questions during the lesson.
Teaching method Learner centred approach, practical activities to ensure that
the learners understood the lesson. Individual work will be
done when the learners do the activity.
Teaching a) The teacher will use visuals when he/she explain the
activities different types of structures. The pictures will help the
learners understand better.
b) Student-teacher interaction. They teacher will ask the
learners questions during the lesson.
c) The teacher will use the demonstration method when
he/she wants to demonstrate how a structure protect
the things on the inside.
Learning a) The learners will listen to the teacher explaining the
activities important content of the lesson.
b) The learners will answer the teacher’s questions
during the lesson.
c) The learners will put up their hands when they would
like to ask a question.
d) The learners will complete the activities at the end of
the lesson to ensure that they understand the work.
Assessment task The learners will do an informal assessment when they are
going to complete the 2 activities at the end of the lesson.
This is informal assessments and will not count any marks.
The assessment will only be done to see if the learners
understood the work.
