,Abstract
Purpose
The main purpose of this research is to help my organisation, Ghana Highway Authority to achieve
high level of employee engagement frequently awarding and recognising high performing staff and
contribute knowledge to the topic for further research.
Design/ Methodology/ Approach
I will use a survey to measure all variables quantitatively. For this type of research, I assume that a
greater sample size and survey method(s) would produce better and more reliable results.
Findings
The intended outcome of this study is to determine the correlation between staff’s recognition and
engagement in an organisation.
Practical Implications
The findings of this research will inspire leaders of organisations to take a critical look at employee
recognition as an instrument for achieving employee engagement.
