Introduction
Care services are influenced by their setting of occurrence, which in most cases, is
characterized by healthcare policies, availability of resources, disease outbreak, caregivers, and
the general level of technology. Such settings are essentials in the care delivery to patients as
they determine the standard and safety of the care service. The healthcare sector workforce
consists mostly of nurses; therefore, they must understand their role and utilize their expertise
and knowledge adequately to meet the ever-changing needs of the patient's health. A higher ratio
of patient's requirements relies on the nurses whom they are typically blamed whenever their
healthcare services provision fails to achieve the required standards irrespective of inadequate
care resources. For instance, the service offered may not meet the required threshold when the
equipment used is faulty and may lead to adverse impacts on the patient's health Grand Canyon

Mission Hospital, where I had my mentor, Mary Cait, who is a senior nursing practitioner in the
facility. I chose her as my mentor because of her charismatic nature and willingness to nurture
young professions. Concerning this information, this paper, therefore, describes my journey in
the practicum course with Mary Cait as my mentor.

objectives and developed individual's success planned.
