Sense of Self ( 5 stages of development)
Many people around the school would refer to me as
being smart, and a person who studies a lot in their
spare time! Well, I’m totally the opposite I’m like most
people. In my weekend and spare time, I love spending
time with my family, and playing videogames with my
brother and friends. My current favourite game is
“Valorant”. As a person I’m always smiling regardless
of the situation. I try to have influence of people, to
help people around etc. I’m kind-hearted and love to
care about others wellbeing, though starting a high
school was hard!
My 5 developments changed a lot from week 1 to
currently.
Stage 1 – Starting high school, especially one that is 40
minutes from your house can give nightmares! A
compiled nightmare, walking through the first day, I
told myself that this year I’d try to be a better self.
That’s when I realised, where to go. Everything from
there went downhill, I wondered around finally finding
my place! I was scared and anxious, with excitement
and shock. My body took in many feelings at once
unable to comprehend! Eventually throwing myself in
overdrive filled with stress. Being new and fresh at that
stage I was at the bottom of development enabling
more experience at point of time!
Stage 2 – Getting used to the school and my peers, I
was still kind of stressed, nervous, and anxious. Then I
got struck with the worst possible outcome ever!
Retrieving back to week 2 Monday I was given a Covid
Test. Coming back negative yet being close contact I
