Learning over the past years has been involving the physical interaction between the
teachers and the learners. Physical learning can utilize both heuristic or expository in passing the
required information from a teacher to a learner. However, physical learning does not prove good
enough for students in higher learning institution where research projects are done. Apparently,
nearly every academic information can nowadays be accessed through the internet from online
academic resources. In other words, online learning resources have proved useful enough as
compared to physical learning that gives little room for carrying out researchers. Even though
online learning is useful for learners, it also has a various drawback. For example, one cannot
access the online facilities in the absence of power, an appropriate electronic gadget, an internet
connection, and the capability of the learner to access the relevant information from the internet.
However, the challenges can be countered through a successful application of various strategies
and resources that would determine the level of achievement in a learner who uses online
platforms for learning.
To some extent, the challenges that can be experienced by an online learner are quite
many and at times, seem to be uncontrollable, Walden University e-Guide. (2015b).. Considering
a case where a learner is carrying out online studies, then, power goes off suddenly. The
experience will interrupt the learner's attention, and they might not even be able to absorb the
required content entirely due to disruption. Besides, learners also face the challenge of internet
connection, which might become troublesome at times. The problem of internet connection may
be out of the learner's control, since it may be due to an error with the service provider. Such
interruptions result in disturbances in the psychological makeup of a learner, hence, interfering
