1. You have been assigned the task of developing a strategic plan for your organization. As
an initial step, you have decided to develop an organizational profile. What is an
organizational profile? What should the process be to develop the profile? What
information will you include, and where will you get your information? How will you
utilize the information?
A company profile refers to a special manner in which every organization or company
presents itself to their customers. The stakeholders, prospective buyers, and outsiders of a
company are able to gain a meaningful insight towards products offered by the company,
through a proper consideration of the company organization profile. To ensure a successful
operation of any organization, it is important to develop a strategic plan that describes the major
goals, objectives, and strategies used by the organization towards achieving its vision. The
strategic plan should as well review the various available resources and design possible ways of
identifying and acquiring other resources before they can be allocated to various departments or
sectors of the organization. However, preparing an organizational profile requires one to consider
and design the organization profile as the first step of strategic planning.
Apparently, the process of developing an organization profile has to involve various
aspects of the company. During the preparation of the profile, there is a need to summarize the
organization’s activities as described in the object clause of the memorandum of association. The
activities of the company should meet both the government’s and prospective customers’
