- Motivation is the will to work:
Comes from enjoyment of work itself and/or from desire to
achieve certain goals e.g., earn more money or achieve
promotion
- Methods available to motivate employees
Financial methods (e.g., salary, bonus)
Non-financial methods (e.g., passing on responsibility or praise)

TAYLOR’S THEORY:
- He suggested that workers are primarily motivated by pay, and
probably just pay alone.
- Since workers are only motivated by money, then they don’t
inherently enjoy work, because of this, employers should monitor
workers closely to ensure they are not slacking
