The healthcare problem of focus is on nursing burnout in care facilities. Nursing burnout
is identified as a case whereby there is an extension of psychological reaction towards
interpersonal stressors as well as chronic emotions with the job. The aspects associated with the
problem issue are a decline in personal accomplishments, emotional exhaustion, and de-
personalization (Aycock & Boyle, 2009). The increase in burnout prevalence among nurses
globally is attributed to factors such as poor work setting and low staffing resulting in the state
where one nurse handling between 1-9 patients. This leads to scenarios in which the nurses are
often compelled to provide services at irregular hours, engaged in high workloads and demands,
and handle traumatic experiences such as those common among patients in oncology outpatient
unit.
As a result of increased need for high quality care from the nurses, there is often a
likelihood that it results in most of the nurses experiencing huge amount of stress. This is
especially because the nurses can suffer a combination of emotional, physical as well as spiritual
depletion that is contributed by their roles in caring for patients who exhibit significant physical
distress and emotional pain (Tetzlaff et al., 2018). Therefore, among the healthcare
administrators, the issue of burnout is of great concern and requires more attention. This is
particularly because high quality care cannot be realized without the elimination of problems
such as burnout in nursing. In many instances, the issue of burnout can make the nurses exhibit
