NR510 Leadership and the Role of the Advance Practice Nurse

Advanced Practice Nurse Leader Interview Project It is pertinent that a Master’s degree trained Nurse Practitioner (NP) have understanding of Advance Practice Nurse (ANP) core competencies and their application in the real life setting. In order to ensure that this information is obtained, the student NP will interview a APN about the core competencies and their role in development. This paper will discuss the complete nine core competencies as outlined by the National Organization of Nurse Practitioner Faculties (NONPF). Furthermore, the paper will provide a description of the interview conducted with a Certified Nurse Practitioner in regard to their view on the specific core competencies.
