, Introduction
Healthcare organizations are a major contributor to the healthcare delivery system. Their
role in research, risk management, financing, and provision of optimal patient care cannot be
overemphasized. These organizations are geared towards meeting the healthcare needs of
individuals, families, and the community at large, especially during the ever dynamic era in
healthcare. Health care organizations are involved in continuous quality improvement to help
initiate and implement innovations that will reduce health disparity and foster adequate and equal
healthcare for all. One of the major examples of a healthcare organization is Banner Health,
which is focused on meeting the healthcare needs of Americans. This paper will be addressing
Banner Health and its readiness in meeting the health care needs of citizens in the next decade.
Banner Health
Banner Health Network (BHN) is one of the “largest private non-profit health
organization in the United State with its headquarter at 2901 North Central Ave., Phoenix,
Arizona 85012 and branches in 6 states (Nebraska, California, Colorado, Nevada, Arizona, and
Wyoming)” (Banner Health, 2020). The organization provides job to over “50,000 employees,
has twenty-eight acute care hospitals, and offers comprehensives physician, hospice, and home
health care as well as specialized services such as Alzheimer’s, concussion, heart, children and
burns care” (Banner Health, 2020).
As the largest private employer of labor and healthcare system, BHN committed to
fulfilling its mission statement of making “healthcare easier and accessible to all by the
continuous focus of improving patient’s care, outcome and services, developing, education and
training of personnel, research activities, community services and the use of new technologies to
make life can be better” (Banner Health, 2020).
