ORAL MEDICINE:
1) A young patient presented with a complain of painful and burning
sensation on the floor of the mouth. examination reveals multiple
small 1-2 mm grey ulcers confined to the floor of the mouth..
History reveals that the lesions are recurrent occurring almost
every month and lasts for a week.
Herpes simplex virus infection
Behçet’s disease
Reiter’s syndrome
Primary oral involvement in TB
Recurrent apthous stomatitis.
2) 30 year old partial denture wearer presented with a complain of
localized pale pink exophytic swelling involving the interdental
papilla and attached gingiva of tooth 26.. On examination, there is
sub optimal oral hygiene. Biopsy shows heavily fibrosed granulation
tissue with focal mineralization. Diagnosis?
Pyogenic granuloma
Pleomorphic adenoma
Pedunculated hemangioma
Peripheral ossifying fibroma
Peripheral giant cell granuloma
