An actual example of grit from a personal view was of my sister, Tonya. She wanted to
one day own her own home, which she would be able to raise and take care of her
family in a safe environment for them to grow up in. She knew her biggest task was
saving money and sticking to her plan of becoming a home owner. She had a few life
set backs which caused her to move around from place to place for about 6 years.
Once she had saved roughly $25,000, and taken a few new homeowner courses she
was finally able to buy her 5 bedroom home. Watching how work so hard and being
persistent in sticking to her ultimate goal not only was a success story but helped me
to understand what I may had to face to follow in her footsteps of also becoming a
homeowner.
