maintain the decorum of the workplace. Just like other rules, it is recommended for the
companies to direct their employees about what to wear therefore dress code is a necessary

dress code, its importance, and its policy for Foodpanda riders will be discussed. Foodpanda is
an online company owned by Delivery Hero which deals in the delivery of food and grocery
(Anon., n.d.). The headquarters of foodpanda are located in Singapore and it provides service in
nearly 14 countries which include India, Pakistan, Hong Kong, Germany, Japan and many
more.
Difference between dress code and uniform
Dress codes are mainly used by people who represent their own occupation however; uniforms
are used by those people and children who are representing different companies like children
representing school in which they are studying or employees representing a company where
they are hired as salesman such as Pizza Hut, KFC, McDonalds and etcetera. Dress codes are
a way to represent professionalism of the company and its employees as it speaks authority,
responsibility, and trustworthiness. Dress policies play a vital role in proving the identity of the
person by representing its profession and company. Dress policies can be divided into two
categories that are dress codes and uniform. Dress code refer to the set of instructions given
regarding the look and presentation of the person whereas uniform is a compulsory dress which
is exactly same for all just like school uniform for all children of all classes. The purpose of this
report is to highlight the dress policy of foodpanda riders.
Dress policy of foodpanda
The dress policy of foodpanda is a dress code rather than
a uniform because it is the same in every corner of the
world. Also, dress codes are used by those people and
companies who have to represent their own occupation
rather than the company. Similarly, the dress code for
foodpanda employees is a t-shirt, pant, hat and a thermal
bag. The t-shirt is of pink and grey color with the name
and logo of foodpanda on right side of chest and sleeves.
The hats and thermal bags are of pink color with
foodpanda logo and company name. The employees are supposed to wear jeans of their own of
blue or black color. Moreover, the employees are also given jackets as part of their dress code
which is same as their t-shirts. It is mandatory for the employees to have a vehicle (bike) of their
