Professional identity – what does that mean to you?
o Professionalism is having open communication with coworkers/classmates. Having open
communication is important because certain goals will be met along with avoiding
miscommunication. Punctuality is essential because it shows that a person cares and
values the time of others. Dress code is important because it shows professionalism and
discipline.
What do you expect from your fellow students as far as professionalism?
Professionalism is having respect for others. It is showing up on time to class, clinicals and
respecting the fact that we are all here to learn. Professionalism also is courtesy. It is important to
show respect along with helping others when needed.
