Maximizing and Accomplishing Organizational and Business Goals Through Leadership
Introduction
Without the right leadership style in place, accomplishing and maximizing business goals
can be a challenge for some organizations. Leadership is essential to bringing positive change to
any organization. During the process to facilitate change, organizational factors such as trust,
clear vision, and culture become affected by the type of leadership ingrained (Hao &
Yazdanifard). So, when maximizing and accomplishing organizational and business goals it’s
important to maintain an effective leadership strategy to receive better results.
The company that I currently work for was recently purchased by a smaller company,
Vacasa. Vacasa is a vacation rental company. The new owner has recently begun rebranding and
transitioning the company and its employees to the new name, rules, and policies. The
transitioning process endured some hindrances because of a global issue which led to some
temporary complications. These unforeseen matters, in turn, led to a lack of focus on some
departments, including reservations.
Departmental reviews and goals weren’t properly enforced. There were decreases in
employee performances. It’s believed that the changes in employee performances resulted from
the changes in leadership. I even became concerned about my work performance and the lack of
efficiency in my skills use. I concluded that the only way for me to get back on track was to set
goals for myself. Those goals were to list and define professional goals and improve
communication and time management skills. The changes that began to take place within the
department affected the leadership, but if a new and effective leadership strategy were
implemented then maybe departmental employees work performance and productivity would
increase; improved communication would benefit all and keep everyone updated on
