heart failure the dosage should be started slow and titrated to the desire level for this patient

Hypertension, angina, acute MI, CHF, supraventivular and ventricular tachycardia, prevent
migraines
The patient is admitted with complaints of coughing/not feeling well and is unable to get off the
couch because she is weak and fatigued. The daughter brought her into the Emergency
Department with c/o fever and chills for 2 days, decreased appetite, noted productive green
cough and fatigue. Is this an appropriate and accurate order for Mrs. Martin? Yes/no? Justify
your answer:
Her nurse would want to promptly treat fever chills, productive green cough and decreased
appetite. The patient is 75 years old and age can be a risk factor for pneumonia and such
symptoms.
The patient is diabetic. When will you check Mrs. Martin’s blood sugars?
I would check her blood sugars as soon as I knew she was a diabetic, then I would assess her at
home medication administration and the type of insulin patient is on, and then I would reassess
blood sugars every morning 30 mins before breakfast, lunch and dinner and possibly in the
