Research question: What are the essential strategies to curb diabetes among all age groups?
Working thesis statement: The most worthwhile strategy to reduce diabetes is educating
people on the importance of curbing sugar in food, eating raw fruits, and drinking a lot of
water as a primary beverage. Drinking water helps people develop the habit of consuming
natural over-processed sugar.

1. Working thesis in the introduction: Too much sugar in the blood causes diabetes. For
better health elderly should consume fruits over-processed food which may contain too much
sugar, which the insulin might fail to process, and ending up causing diabetes.
a. A statement shows how diabetes has affected many people, mostly the elderly, in our
society.
b. background information on diabetes, causes, prevention since there is no cure and other
related diseases. Support of background to show the two types of diabetes and how they
differ.
