PRINCIPLES OF RE-
EDUCATION
1) The cause of poor posture must be found out to re-educate
the posture efficiently, with co-operation of patient.
2) Postural defects rarely lead to marked structural changes, if
they are prolonged.
3) A proper environment and cheerful atmosphere are the
greatest importance in postural re-education.
4) When debility (physical weakness) and fatigue are the cause,
these must be treated first.
5) Good pattern of posture must be constantly presented to the
patient, by teaching them how to assume it and make it
habitual by repeated voluntary effort.
, 6) Proper sleep and exercise (good hygienic condition) is
important in postural re-education.
