For people to benefit from the resources provided by the ecosystem, it is
very important to take serious action to preserve them. Well-managed
forests provide clean water supplies, abundance, clean air, carbon storage,
and wildlife habitats, and because Florida has 15 million acres of forest, this
is a very important environmental service. Carbon sequestration first is an
important service because it focuses on capturing, retaining and preventing
carbon from entering the Earth's atmosphere and because forest
redevelopment is an important form of carbon sequestration that preserves
Florida's forests is very important because the forests themselves act as
carbon sinks. CARBON DIOXIDE IS THE MOST COMMON GREENHOUSE GAS
Carbon sequestration is the process of capturing and storing carbon dioxide
in the atmosphere. It is one way to reduce the amount of carbon dioxide in
the atmosphere in order to reduce global climate change such as global
warming. What action is taken to protect these services is to plant more
urban trees that can reduce co2 concentrations in the atmosphere by storing
carbon at its roots, legs and branches. Urban forests can also help reduce
co2 emissions from fossil fuel-based power plants. Some examples of
habitat restoration include the addition of habitats to fish and wildlife
service shelters, national parks, tribal lands, invasive species control and
many more.
When people remove trees and forests to build homes and businesses and
feed the growing population, it affects the increased carbon released into
the air and can lead to increased global warming, in return florida's native
species lose their habitats and have to adapt to the changing environment.
This causes deforestation, soil erosion and coastal flooding. Trees help the
earth retain water and surface soil, which provide rich nutrients to preserve
the life of additional forests. Florida is trying to restore many of the lost
wetlands in order to re-serve the flood control ecosystem.
Create more volunteer programs where people can volunteer to plant more
trees. I have services where the community is educated about the
importance of maintaining the ecosystem and how we can contribute to the
activities of daily life. This week was a very fun week. I have learned a lot
from post-discussion tasks, particularly the way in which individuals who are
not part of these projects and institutions can contribute, for example, to
volunteering and spreading the word as well as acting in good faith at home
as well as to help maintain the ecosystem. If we want a change, it has to
start with ourselves.
