PARTS OF SPEECH:
The parts of speech are eight in number. These are;
1. NOUN. 2. ADJECTIVE. 3. PRONOUN.
4. VERB. 5. ADVERB 6. PREPOSITION.
7. CONJUCTION. 8. INTERJECTION.
1. NOUN:
“Noun is the name of a person, place, or thing; as,
Oxford University is in England.
John is a good boy.
2. ADJECTIVE:
“It is a word which is used to add something to the meaning of a noun; as,
He is an honest boy.
There are twenty employees in the company.
3. PRONOUN:
“PRONOUN is a word used instead of a noun; as,
She has many books in her cupboard.
I bought myself a new car.
