Introduction
As a newly appointed manager of a new Amazon warehouse plant that employs one
hundred employees which consist of a team of ten supervisors and ninety packers, I will oversee
the entire warehouse operations. The success of organizational functions within all corporations,
businesses, and companies depend on five critical elements or management practices. According
to Baack, Reilly, & Minnick (2014), “the management discipline consists of a set of five specific

within these disciplines. By applying those best practices within the five functions, it will foster
growth within and outside the organization, provide smoother operational processes, and enable
