Executive Summary
We gladly present you a case study on motivation of employees in a company.We
prepared the case study on the basis of motivating the employees in a proper way to praise
the employees and enhancing the job activity of a company.
We have solved four questions based on the case study “Thanks for nothing”. Actually
two events of two particular company are described in the case study. The events indicate
such experience resonate with employees who may find more value in a sincere pat on
the back than in gifts from management that either are meaningless or aren’t conveyed
with respect & sincerity. The case study covers a discussion of the importance of
motivational theories (especially “Maslow’s hierarchy of need theory”) in actual
workplace situations to influence organizational behavior. Included in this case is the Job
Characteristics Model and how it can be used as a way of motivating employees.
We have solved the four questions regarding to the case. We have tried our best to answer
the questions properly. We have also tried to explain how jobs should be redesigned to
optimize organizational behavior. We have also described the negative impact on verbal
praise on employees. Also, some work arrangements are provided and described in terms
of their effects on employee motivation. We have also discussed the description of
motivation & “Maslow’s hierarchy of need theory”
Although the main purpose of preparing the case study is to solve the case answers
