FIBROADENOMA
A fibroadenoma is a benign, or noncancerous, breast tumor.
Unlike a breast cancer, which grows larger over time and can
spread to other organs, a fibroadenoma remains in the breast
tissue. The term fibroadenoma combines the words "fibroma,"
meaning a tumor made up of fibrous tissue, and "adenoma," a
tumor of gland tissue. Over time, a fibroadenoma may grow in
size or even shrink and disappear. They're pretty small, too.
Most are only 1 or 2 centimeters in size. It's very rare for them
to get larger than 5 centimeters across. It commonly occurs in
women between the age of 14 to 35 years. They account for
68% of all breast masses and 44% 94% of all biopsied breast
lesions.
Signs and symptoms

pain. It is:

A fibroadenoma often grows slowly. The average size is about 1
inch (2.5 centimeters).A fibroadenoma can get bigger over
time. It may be tender or cause soreness a few daysbefore your
period. A large fibroadenoma may hurt when you touch it. But
most often, this type of breast lump causes no pain. You can
have a single fibroadenoma or more than one fibroadenoma.
They can occur in one or both breasts.
