Introduction
Being a division of one of the largest shipbuilding industries in the United States,
it’s important to progress with the continuously developing world. Currently, the world is
still adjusting to the pandemic that shut the world down in 2020. Because of this societal
risk, creating a new ethics program, a training plan, and a plan to conduct compliance
auditing will be proposed to the new CEO. With emerging global risks such as
Coronavirus, other countries are also affected and it is important to identify and evaluate
which countries will be affected and the risk they face. Having such a vast amount of
employees will bring its challenges to the company’s ethical decision-making process, but,
this will provide confidence in our stakeholder relationships. Right now is the perfect time
to develop a new ethics program as well as conduct a new training plan that can help guide
our employees to what is now our new normal.

Back in 2020 when the world shut down due to the Coronavirus, we were trying to
adjust to the new normal. Social distancing, wearing masks, quarantining, brought up new
challenges with going back to work or adjusting to working remotely. Everyone took the
pandemic differently, many lost their lives, some don't believe the disease actually exists,
others now live in fear of stepping outside or being around other people, and finally, the
ones who are adapting.
Everyone will have a different opinion on the vaccine mandate, but this brought up huge
ethical issues. Some are for the vaccine but do not approve of the companies making it
mandatory and others feel the opposite, everyone is entitled to their own opinion but, it
seemed to be tearing families and friends apart and even long-term (or short-term)
employees to quit their jobs to stand up for what they believe in.
