A mult iplexer can be used in many ways and can also be found in our home. An example of the mult
iplexer in our home is the speaker, this speaker can accept many devices to receive signals and
produce sounds from them but only one at a t ime. Many devices can connect via wire,
Bluetooth, or the same network. Our device will connect with the speaker but will only choose one device,
with my experience it choose the device that connects after the previous one with
Bluetooth connection and if it is wired, it will priorit ize the main devices.

Our comput er in present t ime is an example of demux. Demux is a visualizat ion of one input
to many outputs like our comput er or laptop also. The comput er can give an output to our printer,
produce the video from our proj ector, can sync from our smar tphones, and connect to other comput
ers. The demux will enhance the use of the comput er because it can produce many
outputs by this single device. We can say "oh theres a comput er let s use if for our printer" or "oh there's
a comput er , let s sync our phones there to copy the data".
3. How can you apply a mult iplexer in a local area network (
LAN)? Rationalize your answer. ( Essay: 10 points)
We can apply mult iplexer in a LAN by adding many ports to be used by available devices. We can
already see a type of that in our comput er labs and comput er shops where their router or modem has
a lot of bus ter minals where we can plug our ethernet cables. To make it clear, LAN is already a mult
iplexer because it was common to be used in a single private network in our
workspace.
