While I proceed through this course, the intricacies of art overall fascinate me more
and more. In my daily life, I am seeing more aspects of art when I watch television,
and I am eager to study further about art history in general. It was captivating to
learn about the French Revolution and what it meant for craftsmanship overall in
the current week's course understanding material.
Earlier concentrating further into it, I knew nothing about the immediate impact it
had on workmanship and was uninformed to it.
The effect of artwork was far greater in the 18th and 19th centuries than it is today,
but I believe that visual arts may still be used to communicate ideas to the public
currently since the appreciation of visual art is still extremely strong. My reasoning
for saying this is that, with the ever-expanding technological sector, the methods of
communication and delivering messages has evolved through time, since there are
many ways to send messages such as television, magazines, radio, news broadcasts,
and etc.
Art styles have evolved as a result of technological advancements in communication,
and artists have shifted how they communicate themselves in their works.
Artwork allows people to express themselves in ways which words cannot. Painters
frequently produce art to transmit a message that isn't always obvious or easy to
put down. Graffiti is a wonderful example of this, which may be conducted legally or
illegally to transmit a message to the general population.
Another instance is that it may be used to oppose a topic that could get them into
problems if mentioned publicly. Sculptures and art are being used by artists to
express messages. They put these works of art on display in public places to make a
statement. A mural of George Floyd in Minneapolis is an example of current visual
art meant to communicate a message.
