, I. METHODOLOGY
I.1. Time and Place
This practicum activity was carried out on Saturday, February 19, 2022 at
16.30 WIB. This practicum activity is located in the yard of my house in Harapan
Indah, Bekasi, West Java province. The air temperature at the time of the
practicum was 28o C. This observation will be carried out for four weeks.
I.2. Tools and Materials
The tools and materials used in observing the growth of mung beans in
various media were 6 plastic cups, mung beans, screwdrivers, planting media
(sand, soil, and compost), shovels, cameras, and stationery.
I.3. Work Steps
The following are the steps done in this practicum:
1. Prepare the tools and materials needed.
2. Make five holes in the bottom of the plastic cup. It serves as a place for water
to flow.
3. Prepare the required planting media.
4. Insert the planting medium into each plastic cup:
- Sand
- Compost
- Soil
- Sand & compost
- Sand & soil
- Compost & soil
5. Plant 5 mung beans into each planting medium.
6. Add a little more planting media to bury the mung beans earlier.
7. Store the glass in a place with sufficient light.
8. Water the plants regularly.
9. After a week, observe the growth of mung beans. Measure the height of the
stem and count the number of leaves.
10. Make documentation of the results of these observations.
