slowly, take sips of water frequently or hard candy for dry mouth, may cause weight
change, notify your physician of any adverse reactions (tardive dyskinesia, irregular or
increased HR, avoid alcohol, avoid herbal supplements.
Benzodiazepines - Answer Antianxiety Drugs: Valium / Xanax / Ativan / Librium

Apnea, depression, glaucoma, respiratory depression. Use with caution in patients with
liver disease, cardiac disease, renal disease, and substance abuse.

dizziness, depression, impaired vison, dependence, withdrawal symptoms.
Benzodiazepines - patient education - Answer Teach patients: Take as directed. When
stopping follow the directions given by your physician, take with food if you have GI
upset, store in a secure place, potential dependency
