Assessment in Early Childhood Education
Assessment procedures are employed for various reasons including screening, classification and program planning to capitalize on a child’s qualities to help address special needs; to identify kids needing further assessment to determine the need for health or other special services or supports; to determine eligibility for special education and related services planning an intervention programme or monitoring a child’s progress and evaluating program effects. This paper is focusing on the procedures, data collection and analysis of the criterion-referenced test, IQ test assessment and norm-referenced test.
