EMERGING

, Part A
TechFite is an Information Technology Corporation located in Houston, Texas which
specializes in creating medical equipment that helps support the NASA space program. The
technology that TechFite is currently working on allows humans to be able to work longer in
space. However, due to this amazing development in technology it is highly sensitive and
confidential in nature, so having the upmost security is top priority. At Techfite the National
Institute Standards Technology (NIST) is the current security framework that standards are
measured by. TechFite uses the Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA)
regulations in detecting potential attacks on the host and network systems by using such
programs as Nessus to run vulnerability scans. OpsCompass is a cloud system that I propose
Techfite uses because it supports both FISMA and NIST protocol. It reduces manpower by
automating both security/event logs, and STIGS. It also alerts the Cyber Security department of
potential attacks, and hacks. Most importantly it is secure and protects.
Part B
I have chosen OpsCompass cloud as the emerging technology TechFite needs to purchase
for several reasons. First and foremost is because it is highly secured and recognized by all
governing bodies regulations and standards such as FISMA, HIPPA, and PCI DSS
(OpsCompass, 2019). Three main features artificial intelligence uses are predictive analytics to
stay alert, updated, and provided continuous monitoring. The second feature the AI uses is data
ingestion to store and analyze data and potential attackers’ information to try to prevent it from
occurring again. The third feature of OpsCompass AI is the use of anomaly detection to process
and analyze rare events that happen. OpsCompass also works on all major cloud software such as
