Why College is Bad for Me?
A. Summary
Each one of us has a goal in life. Others want a successful life while others want a simple living. Our goals in life never last.
It doesn’t stop. Goals are just like us, it continues to grow. Our goals in life define our unique personalities. Goals reflect our
true personality. Goals aren’t just about our dreams or our ambitions in life; it’s about the eagerness to have a specific thing
that we extremely want. Goals and human personality does have a connection. Connection that we, as human can use to
define ourselves. Our goals in life define our unique personalities. Goals reflect our true personality. Sometimes goals cannot
be the basis to judge someone’s personality. There are people who are great in hiding their true personality. Our moves or acts
that we did define our personality but sometimes it doesn’t mean that you are that person because you made that specific act.
Sometimes we are being misinterpreted by other people because of what we did. My goal in life is to have a successful life
which all of us wants. Making my dreams possible is my goal in life. Becoming an archaeologist, a civil engineer, a board passer,
a good brother, a good son and a good follower of Christ are my goals in life. We all know that achieving our goals in life aren’t
simple to achieve especially if there’s lot of hindrances that blocks our way to success.

I do agree that in other way around, college is bad for me especially if it talks about health aspect. The items listed above
are the reasons why college is bad to every student. I do agree that those 7 reasons why college is bad for me but it’s just a
matter of fact. There are always bad things in every corner of the world. Bad things do exist and it can’t eliminate here on
earth. Those reasons are just part of every college student and it can’t eliminate here on college. There are a lot of things we
can learn from college. College isn’t bad at all, as a matter of fact there’s benefit from college. It’s up to us if we are going to
view college as a bad idea. Bad things are always together with good things. Those bad things are just part or process of
college. College isn’t just made up of bad things that are why we should not look at college just like a drug dealer that ruin our
future. College is a narrow path and full of problems towards our goals in life. I agree that those 7 reasons are common
problems that a college student encounters, but it doesn’t mean that college is a very bad idea to go with. We all knew what is
right from wrong. All we need to do is to conquer those problems for us to succeed. College is 50/50 where half percent may
be good to you and the other half is bad to you. Expect the unexpected while in college because there are a lot of things that
we can learn, there is good and there is bad. All we need to do is to screen the things that we encounter critically. Those things
really happen for some college students but it doesn’t mean that college is a very bad place to go. College is a way to achieve
our goals. There are advantages and disadvantages in studying at college.
C. Implication
It’s up to us if we are going to choose those bad reasons to view college as a bad thing. But for those who want to finish
their studies, they must be more efficient and be strong because it’s not going to be easy, it’s not a flat path, there will be
always humps that slow us towards success and most of all there are lots of turns and it’s not going to be smooth journey. Our
experiences in college serve as a role model for us to be a good follower of Christ or a good citizen. Our capacity to understand
has been enhanced by our struggles that hinder our path to our desired way. It is added experience especially to us who are
freshmen students. College makes us more mature person than in our high school life. It is a big dilemma for us as a college
student because there are lots of aspects that would really affect like our time in our family, time for ourselves, lack of things
we need in school and many more. Though big percent of our studies are full of problems and lack of different things, big
percent of our studies still have benefit to us. Problems are always there and we can’t escape from this that’s why we need to
face it and do not escape from it. We are able to go at the finish line if we going to choose the right path and obey the rules of
the race of life. Just continue to live and don’t stop. Being a college student is a big challenge for us who are just beginners.
The decision is on our hands if we going to choose the right way than the wrong turn. College is not a bad idea just because of
those problems that student may encounter. College is a place where we can learn different things, things that we can’t learn
inside our house. College is like a river, the strong current that continues to flow are the trials or the obstacles that we are
going to face as we go to the other side of the river. We should follow the rules in swimming in order to go at the other side of
the river. Following the rules in swimming are just like following the rules in life, we must continue to live and don’t give up
immediately. College is an opportunity to become successful in life but it is up to us if we going to waste it or miss it. We should
grab this opportunity because not all of us have given this kind of opportunity to study at college. We should view college as a
blessing because if we finish college after several years we have an opportunity to become successful in life. Studying in college
is an edge to others that’s why we should grab it now and don’t let it pass through our hands. Try not to become a man of
success but a man of value according to a famous personality and that’s the best way we should do. Have faith on God and to
our abilities which is the key to success.
