P1: describe the different types of teams and the benefits of teams
for an organization.
Introduction
This assignment focuses on two different teams within various
organizations and their team structure
in the form of a leaflet. The teams
chosen are the Board of Directors at
Vodafone and the Business School
teaching team at the college.
TEAM #1
Description: The Board of
Directors at Vodafone consisting of Directors such as the
Chairman, Chief Executive Officer, Marketing and Finance
Directors etc.
Type of Team: Formal Team
This is a formal team because the organization created it for a
specific purpose, there are rules and guidelines in place, and each
member has specific tasks and responsibilities in which they have to
complete. This teams consists of 12 members. This a large team for
it consists of more than 10 members. This is a Permanent Team
because they will continue to work together for long term to achieve
goals that will benefit the business.
Purpose of the Team
The purpose of the Board of Directors in an organization create a
vision, mission and values for the business which will help guide the
business long-term. They lay out strategies for other members of
the organizations to follow and assist with to help the organization
thrive.
Benefits of being in this team.
