Egyptian Ethnic Heritage
The Egyptian ethnic relations do not rise from the country, but it exists as part of
the wider Arab world, although there are Christians. There has always been a debate

falafel. Special meals mark many Muslim festivals. The Id AL-Adha, which
celebrates the willingness of Abraham to sacrifice his ram, requires the sacrifice of a
ram. Part of the animal is also distributed to the less fortunate.
The Id AL-Fitr has celebrated y special cookies known as kahk. There is also the
feast that celebrates the birth of Prophet Muhammad, and it is celebrated by the
consumption of a variety of sweets cooked with different types of nuts. On the
Christmas and Easter eves, a variety of dishes made from beef and poultry are made
to celebrate the fast by Christians. These festivals are celebrated nationwide in all
regions and by all social classes.
