Do pupils have access to the learner disciplinary code and code of conduct?
Learners are given the code of conduct when they join the
school and the beginning of each year.
Why is it important that pupils have this code and study it closely?
They will be aware of how they can act and what they can
and cannot do in class and at school.
Do the staff have access to the staff disciplinary code and code of conduct?
Yes
Why is it important that staff have this and study it closely?
So they know exactly how they should, the learners should
behave at school. They will know the proper way to discipline
learners, a way that will not put them in danger and will keep
them out of jail. They will also know the boundaries of their
actions.
What is the procedure for staff who are ill and will be taking a day’s leave from
school?
They should let the principal and HODs know and another
teacher will be asked to fill in for them
What must the staff member do upon returning to school after leave has been taken?
She/he must report to the principal’s office
Does the school have standard procedures for dealing with learners who do
not complete homework as a repeat offence? If yes, briefly explain this
procedure
