Social media is a virtual platform that allows sharing and interaction across the globe. Social media has generally promoted the interaction no matter the race nor the jurisdiction an individual based. Social media mainly has a negative and positive influence that rendered to the society. In general, platforms such as Facebook and Instagram recorded more than 1 million users on each platform. This mainly enhances social interaction and other advantages such as marketing. Social media marketing has a largely grown due to the influence of the growing technological field. The influence generally brings about the growing number of users. Generally, the research aims at establishing how social media may affect an individual’s self-esteem. Most social platform people use images to identify themselves and thus the body may be the first view or encounter. The research was conducted by two participants generally using the Instagram platform. The platform has about 1 million users and mainly allows users to posts pictures and videos of their experience.
