Over the past decade, the business markets have undergone drastic changes in terms of
increased competition, high consumerism and increased volatility. Companies in these
markets are required to achieve sustainable competitive advantage in order to excel in
these business markets. Promoting intrapreneurship has been considered as one of the key
aspect promoting competitive advantage. This report is aimed at focusing on Intel
intrapreneurial organization in order to evaluate the way in which it responds to
environmental change and the key drivers of Intel’s success. The corporate enterprise
architecture at Intel is analysed in this report by considering the results of corporate
entrepreneurship audit applied on Intel Corporation. The score of corporate
entrepreneurship audit indicated that leadership and strategy have achieved low scores
than the environment while structure and culture have achieved high scores than the
environmental score. This analysis of the corporate enterprise architecture at Intel
revealed that its corporate culture, hybrid organic structure and visionary,
transformational leadership styles acted as the key drivers of company success. The
leadership crisis faced by Intel and the strategy formulation approaches affected by
leadership changes have been identified as the main reasons for decline in the score value.
The need of adopting entrepreneurial leadership style and appropriate strategy
formulation approaches by Intel has been identified in this report.
