TLA2 (CO1): Reflective Writing
Expected Output: Reflection Paper
Instructions: Write a 3-paragraph reflection with 3 to 5 sentences, the first 2 paragraphs focusing on the
implementation of the Laws here in our country and for the third paragraph relate it to the bible passage,
Romans 13:1-2, as to how we (the people) obey our leaders and the laws of the land.
Laws are designed to safeguard society's lower classes who are disadvantaged if such restrictions are
disobeyed. When laws are correctly established and followed, they provide a stable environment for
human coexistence resulting in peace and order in a certain society. As what I’ve observed here in the
Philippines, some laws are disregarded after being implemented because people don’t take them
seriously. Well, for me I can’t blame them because even the law maker here in our country violated the
laws they created.
Furthermore, implementing laws here in our country is challenging because we cannot deny the fact that
there are lots of Filipino who are lack of discipline due to deprivation. But on the other side, we do really
need specific laws to sustain the privilege of being a citizen in democratic country where poverty is
rampant. Lower classes should be protected by the law with fairness and equality and of course Filipinos
should be more obedient enough to follow the rules to have a better place to live.
In addition to that, according to the book of Romans 13:1-2 where it stated that we should follow our
leaders and obey the laws being implemented in our society. God wants us to be a good followers even if
there are some who can’t, because at some point there are perfect punishment for them too. To maintain
peace and harmony following rules is the best thing to do.
