Enter the laboratory with a clean coat to protect your clothes.
Sponge off the top of your lab desk with disinfectants like phenol both before and
after the experiment. Keep the desk free non-essential materials.
Place all the waste materials in the waste can and used glassware on the tray.
Many microscopic organisms any be pathogenic, therefore avoid any hand to
mouth operations. Food and drinks must not be taken in lab.
Whenever a living culture is spilled on the desk or floor at once disinfect the
place.
Take proper care of microscope and other lab equipment. Handle all cultures
carefully according to the instructions.
In case of any accident report immediately and take precaution to avoid any
accidents.
Before starting an experiment you should know you are going to do and take note

Never lay or hang lab coat on the lab desk. Do not have valuables in the lab coat.
