So the objective for this lecture is to be able to assess, diagnose, and treat common eye condition in the adult
population; be able to recognize eye disorders that need referral; and discuss health promotion and how to
preserve vision with the patients.

So the content we are going to discuss with eye disorders, we're going to talk about blepharitis, hordeolums
(or styes), chalazions, glaucoma specifically closed angle, macular degeneration, conjunctivitis and
differentiate between bacterial, viral, allergic and chlamydial, corneal abrasions, and then eye disorders that
require referral which is uveitis or iritis, keratitis, herpetic infection of the eyes and lastly talk about health
promotion and how to preserve vision in our patients.

So this is just a good review of the anatomy of the eye. I would get familiar with the different anatomical areas
so that, too, whenever you are talking to patients you can discuss the eye and also so that whenever you are
doing and I exam you know what you are looking at and how to describe it.
