Nurse E-Portfolio Initial Entry 2 I have a diverse background working in the medical field and have had several different types of experience interviewing people to obtain relevant information. What I would consider my most valuable experience was obtained while working as a medical assistant for and internist. It was my job to work alongside the doctor and assist her with procedures. As part of my position I was required to create and maintain the patient medical record for their current and consequent visits to the office. In order to complete this task I needed to obtain specific information from the patient, the doctor, and other healthcare professionals regarding the patients’ medical history, medications, and any other pertinent information deemed necessary by the doctor.
