1. Presentation: communication to address a group of people.
1.1. Eg: delivering a message via public speaking & teleconferencing
2. To communicate thoughts & ideas to a group of people (the audience) also known as
"speaking engagement”

1. Presenter
1.1. to DELIVER EFFECTIVE & ENGAGING PRESENTATION
1.2. Communicate and deliver the desired message to the audience so that they receive
the message clearly
1.3. Determine whether a presenter is at east or familiar with the audience. If unfamiliar,
should try building a rapport relationship by organising and ICE BREAKING SESSION
with the audience.
1.4. Engage with the audience to control the presentation, especially when in need of
interaction.
1.5. Be well prepares.
1.5.1. Needs to be completely prepared in order to deliver and effective
presentation
1.5.2. The standard rule of thumb highlights that one or 2 hour of
preparation is required for each minute of speaking time to produce a
rewarding speech.
1.6. Appear confident
1.6.1. Develop confidence by preparing and practising more
1.7. Be presentable and properly attired at all times especially in FORMAL SETTING.
1.8. Presenters must be fully present in the moment
1.8.1. Must not be swayed by other distracting thoughts

2.2. Arrive 30 minutes to an hour earlier to set up and get ready
2.3. Test all the equipment and ensure that they are in working condition
2.4. Ensure to get sufficient sleep and rest the night before

3.3. If unfamiliar with the venue, visit the place at least a day in advance
4. Type of setting as in FORMAL or INFORMAL
4.1. Formal setting:
4.1.1. Normally involves formal presentations
4.1.2. Seating arrangements/room setup
4.1.3. Elevated stage/ podium
4.1.4. Dress the part: formal attire (business suit)
