A. Matching is about making associations or seeing relationships between things. Matching
involves corresponding in pattern, color, or designs.
B. Classification/sorting is about separating objects from one another according to
characteristic. Classification involves grouping objects or events according to their similarities.
C. Subitising is the ability to tell the number of objects in a set without counting them.
subitising is the ability to instantaneously recognise the number of objects in a small group
without needing to count.

Matching- Example: Drawn five different things at one column and the same things in another
column but in a shuffled sequence.
Classification/sorting- Example: Draw eight different objects on paper keeping at least five of
them from the same category.
Subtising- Example, when a student rolls a dice they can instantly recognise the number of dots
on the face of the dice.
