Part of the focus for week 2 will be studying pediatrics, so that would be the perfect time to complete the learning activities. Being able to adequately identify, diagnose, and treat health problems in the pediatric population will help increase my confidence with this population of patients and allow me to provide better and safer care to my patients. I have never worked with children in my career, and we do not see little kids every day at clinicals, so I am more uncomfortable with assessing and treating young children as I am not as familiar with the pediatric population. I feel like my strengths related to pediatrics are related to ADHD, autism, speech abnormalities as we see those most frequently during clinicals. Increasing my knowledge on this topic will increase the likelihood of me answering more correct questions related to pediatrics on the exam. 3.)
