, Introduction
In this report I will be discussing different characteristics of different digital graphics. I will
also be discussing the legal issues and implications relating to 2D and 3D graphics and how
they may affect the final product.
Digital graphics are used in all forms of media in fact all media we consume is made up of 2d
and 3d graphics. Advertisements, games, animation and so on all possess and are created
using 2D and 3D graphics in fact as of recently 2D and 3D graphics has made its way into
industries such as the healthcare industry. Digital graphics are being used in machines to
help doctors and surgeons to understand the human body more accurately and practice
operations in a virtual environment that possess similar accuracy and feeling to a real
operation. This saves not only resources but time as well as before surgeons would practise
on animals but in this virtual environment they have no need for that anymore and instead
can practise as much as they like without wasting resources. This technology is also time
efficient for the surgeons. The younger and the developing generation will use this
developing technology more often and hopefully a more advanced and widespread version
as its advantages can be remarkable. There have been cases where a surgeon has been
asked to participate in an operation which they are not familiar which on short notice at that
an need to study.learn all they can in the small amount of time they have with this
technologies even half an hour of practice should give the surgeon enough of an
understanding and practice not to take and active role but a more prominent supporting role
and better help during the surgery which can potentially increase the patents chances of
survival and the operations success. Of course with everything of value in this world there
are certain laws that need to be followed and maintained for not only the users benefit but
the creators. In the next section I will discuss legal implications of 2D and 3D graphics.
The purpose and potential of digital graphics can be visually infinite as digital graphics can
be used in any and all forms of media. Graphics on a whole have existed for as long as we
humans have the ancient cave paintings the early humans created can be counted as
graphics in their own right as they exist and were created to convey information and tell a
story. In modern times graphics are used to visualise, communicate and evaluate ideas as
well as convey information or a feeling/message to its audience. The purpose of digital
graphics is endless and we continue to find new and innovative ways to use graphics to
meet our needs. Similarly to the example I have given about how graphics are starting to be
used in the healthcare industry they are also appearing in other industries such as business
where graphics have been used for promotion on billboards, trains and websites. The
location of where graphics can be placed and used are also seemingly endless as before we
know it advertisements we see on buses may be floating around in the air using advanced
displaying technology. A fun way to think of this would be back to the future where a concept
of 2015 was shown. There are many things predicted in that movie that have turned out to
become reality and who knows we might see unique graphics that were portrayed in that
movie also become a reality.
