Q1:Define Management? OR Define management with respect
to various experts?
Ans: MANAGEMENT:
Simply speaking, management is what manager do. However,
this simple statement doesn’t tell us much. We define
management as
“The process of coordinating work activities so that they are
completed efficiently and effectively with and through other
people”
Management Definations According to Various
Experts:
Lawrence A.Appley defines management as,
“It is the art of achieving goals through the efforts
of others”
, According to Henry Fayol,
“To manage is to forecast and plan, to organize ,to command,
and to control.”
According to Samuel C.certo,
“Management is the process of reaching
organizational goals by working with and through
people and other organization resources.”
Pater Drucker Aserts,
Management is not just a discipline but also a
‘culture’ with its own values, belief, tools and
languages.”
Bateman and snell define management as,
“The process of working with the people and
resources to accomplish organizational goals.”
