1. What is Religion?
- Religion is a set of beliefs, practices and that often relate to the belief and
worship of a controlling force such as a Personal God or another supernatural
being. There are many different understandings of what is religion and not all
religions are believed in a God or Gods. Religions are often focused on cultural
beliefs, worldviews, texts, prophecies, revelations, and morals that have spiritual
meaning to the members of the particular faith, and can encompass a range of
practices including sermons, ritual, prayer, meditation, holy places, symbols,
trances, and feasts.
2. What is the relation of religion to globalization?
- Globalization is the growing interdependence of the world’s economies, cultures,
and populations and about trading goods and services, and technology. While
Religion is a set of beliefs, the relation of Religion to Globalization is that religion
becomes a cultural pluralism that teaches us to respect other religions.
Globalization helps us to increase greater religious tolerance and acceptance of
other cultures and religions that enhance our minds and knowledge. Religion has
played an important role in bringing globalization. Religions identify themselves in
relation to one another, and they become less rooted in places because of
transnational ties. Religion and Globalization act as one to unite people.
3. How does religion cross its boundaries?
- Through countless conflicts, conquests, missions abroad, and simple word of
mouth, these religions spread around the globe and forever molded the huge
geographic regions in their path

5. What is New Age Spirituality?
- New age spirituality refers to a non-unified set of beliefs and practices that
emerged towards the end of the twentieth century in the western world. The
foundations of new age spirituality are built upon both eastern and western
religious traditions, and the belief system is inclusive to ideas from self-help
books such as The Secret and the Law of Attraction, a holistic approach to
health, motivational and positive psychology research, studies in both
consciousness and awareness, and scientific principles such as those explained
in quantum physics. “New agers,” as they are called, don’t limit their belief
system to one particular doctrine.
