, Pakistan’s Foreign Policy After 9/11
Abstract:
Pakistan has faced serious circumstances after the incident of 9/11. It had no other
option but to support US. Then, it became forefront country against militants. During
war on terror, Pakistan relations were deteriorated with Afghanistan and India. And
there are also many ups and downs in alliance between Pakistan and US on issue of
Osama Bin Laden’s killing in Abbottabad. Besides, it has also suffered a lot in the
shape of growing terrorist activities within its borders. Up shoot is that Pakistan’s
relation with United States, Afghanistan and India has not found in cold waters.
Introduction:
“Nothing is permanent except change” it is opine of Heraclitus. Although three
thousand years has passed to this statement yet it has still relevant in the discourse
of life. Similarly, in the domain of foreign policy, neither a country is permanent
enemy nor a country is permanent friend. These are the interest which varies time
to time. Ironically, history is witnessed that powerful countries has always
influenced smaller countries for their own interests. And, 9/11 incident is the crystal
clear example of above statement. Pakistan was threatened by United States. Even it
was stated that if Pakistan would not join global coalition, it would be eliminated
from the map of the world. Hence, Pakistan accepted US led coalition and interred
in war on terror. Though Pakistan supported United States, yet their relations were
deteriorated on few occasions such as in the issue of Raymond Davis and Osama Bin
Laden’s killing. Besides, Pakistan has suffered a lot in this proxy war. It also faced
