The characteristics that contribute to the quality of life of the people who live there:

● Education
● Social opportunities
● Overall health(humans & animals for environment)
● Natural environment
● Transportation
● Good housing
Sustainability
Improving the quality of human life within the carrying capacity of ecosystems:
● Carrying capacity: the ability of the environment to support a population without
environmental damage.
If both parts are achieved, sustainable development can happen;
● increasing quality of life: equal access to resources that can help them improve their
quality.
● living within the carrying capacity: don’t use up all the resources so they stay available in
the future.
Facts about earth:
● Earth is 4.6 billion years old
● Earth is the largest and most dense rocky planet
● Everything in the earth’s system can be placed into one of the following major subsystems:
● Land
● Water
● Living things
● Air
● These subsystems are called “spheres”
