,DIAGRAM OF PROTOZOA
, CHARACTERISTICS
They are aquatic organisms(fresh water and marine
water)
They are acellular organisms.
Their shape may be globular ,oval, spindle or irregular.
They may have a bilateral, radial or irregular symmetry.
Locomotive organs are flagella, cilia or pseudopodia.
They mainly contains only one flagella.
They contain a contractile vacuole which performs
excretion and osmoregulation.
, They are holozoic, phagotrophic organisms.
They respire through general body surface.
Metabolic waste product takes place through
general body surface.
Both asexual and sexual mode of reproduction
occurs.
They form cyst in unfavourable conditions.
They store food in the form of glycogen.
