ABRIDGED REPORT ON COMMUNICATION PROBLEMS AT A SENIOR
CITIZENS HOME AND FRAIL CARE CENTRE
Introduction:
The effective communication between staff members and residents is a critical
aspect of the quality of care provided in senior citizens homes and frail care centres.
Communication not only enables residents to express their needs and concerns but
also contributes to their social and emotional well-being. Unfortunately,
communication breakdowns are not uncommon in care facilities, which can lead to
residents feeling isolated, frustrated, and helpless. This report aims to identify
communication problems in a senior citizens home and frail care centre. The findings
of the investigation provide insight into the communication practices within the facility
and highlight areas where improvements can be made to enhance the quality of life
for the residents.
